Former Wales, Bedford and Cardiff fullback Mike Rayer has again been overlooked for a place on a British and Irish Lions' tour.
Lions manager Gerald Davies has just announced a 37 man squad to take on the Springboks this summer in South Africa (see squad here) and the unlucky fullback has missed out.
Rayer's failure to make the tour seem to make it almost inevitable that Iain Balshaw will always be able to say he has played on more Lions' tours than Michael Anthony Rayer.
One of the worst fullbacks ever to play for Wales.

Mike Rayer was one of the greatest players never to play for the Lions and should have won many more caps
