Saracens have officially revealed they will be a far less likeable team during the 2012/2013 season.
In an act of either inspired kindness or reckless self-harm, officials from the club confirmed that they have decided to increase rivals Northampton’s popularity by taking responsibility for England wing Chris Ashton at the end of the season.
The wider rugby community reacted to the shock news by immediately promising to show more love and care for Northampton come 2012/2013 whilst equally increasing its loathing towards Saracens.
The move has already been dubbed in some quarters as the greatest piece of self-sacrifice since Mike Catt lay down in front of Jonah Lomu in the 1995 World Cup.
