BREAKING NEWS: The East Terrace has learnt that Irish coach Joe Schmidt has called Ronan O’Gara’s latest autobiography into training camp as backup in case Jonny Sexton suffers a reoccurrence of his injury.
Our source, embedded deep within the Irish camp, claims that should Sexton become unavailable O’Gara’s latest book title will leapfrog directly into the starting line-up.
“Schmidt believes O’Gara’s autobiography will bring the same defensive toughness to the Irish backline as the legend O’Gara did,” says our source. “Rumours are its aggression in the tackle area in training is already impressing, relatively speaking. For sure, the book never takes a backwards or a sideways step no matter who is running at it.”
O’Gara’s tome is not expected, however, to take goal kicking responsibilities should it be called upon to start the game.
